The next step in the process is adding the users, creating and assigning profiles and roles, and adding permissions for each user. In order to prepare this org for the future of Salesforce, I will begin converting functionality from profile-based permissions to permission sets/groups.
For ease of access, the Administrator and Program Manager will still be assigned the standard System Administrator profile. However, I’ll clone the Minimum Access profile and then extend access to objects and settings with Permission Sets and Permission Set Groups for each of the managers. I’ll call the new profile “Talent Stacker Manager”
I have also updated the Role Hierarchy in Salesforce to represent the structure at Talent Stacker.
- CEO (Bradley Rice)
- Program Manager
- Study Group Manager
- Volunteer Project Manager
- Member Review Manager
- Program Manager
The Program Manager will also have System Administrator access to the org. The CEO and all other managers will be assigned the Talent Stacker Manager profile and custom permission sets.
