I gained my Slack Certified Consultant credential in July 2023. This is my 7th certification and continued my streak of passing on the first try.
I’ve been a user of Slack off and on for a long time. Slack launched in 2009 and I think I started using it just a couple of years later for the first time. I’ve always enjoyed using it but never had a chance to be more than a user.
The Slack Certified Consultant material prepares you to work with clients who are implementing Slack Grid, which is the highest tier of Slack products. It allows companies to manage unlimited workspaces for various divisions of their company and set global policies from a centralized location.
As a certified consultant, I’m prepared to advise companies who are just getting started with Slack and want to start with just one workspace as well as companies with dozens of workspaces that need to be merged into one Slack Grid.
Slack’s popularity will continue to grow, especially in the Salesforce ecosystem, a Salesforce continues to integrate Slack more and more. The company I work for is a Salesforce partner and has started working with Slack on some projects and through our advisory program, however, we haven’t started full Slack consulting yet. By getting this certification early, it sets me up to help lead the way as projects arrive.
